Exploring the rarely explored TILARI

Exploring the rarely explored TILARI

It was a highly anticipated place to visit for me since i ever hear the name of it from one of my friend who had visited the place in July 2015...and it became true when our fellow group mates planned to visit the place late at night once our class trip was cancelled a day before..

Why to visit

It's one of the unexplored places implies you don't find any sign boards or any one who could guide you out through the place and also the place is stress bursting you can keep yourself away from hustle and bustle of city life and also the place is not about forest to be precise its  the hillocks and valleys and small streams of waters which forms this beautiful place..

About the place

Tilari is a hill station in Maharasthra which forms the ending edge of Deccan plateau on north western side of  Karnataka which is at the junction of three important states of India-Karnataka Goa and Maharasthra... From the place one can infer that the village is constructed for the people who work at tilari hydro-electric project which is a joint venture of MH and GA states (More about the Hydro electric Project) ...Tilari is also the name of the river which flows here it is the river whose origin needs to be discovered one can't clearly define it's origin since it  is formed by confluence of many smaller streams which flow in the valley..Like the other hill stations in  Maharasthra  Lonavla and Amboli where the valleys are covered with grasslands and small bushes unlike in Karnataka here we have thick forests which are Tropical evergreen forests..but in MH most of them get dried of in off monsoons the same applies to tilari so one has to visit the place only during Monsoons to enjoy the beauty of it.....

You dont have any canteens or shops in tilari and also petrol pumps .. so its better to bring home cooked food..or pack something in Belagavi and also fuel up in Belagavi itself

2. Swapnavel Point

  3. Useful info bro. Instead of visiting the place via belgavi, can one visit it from dodamarg itself? How many days are sufficient to watch all main points, birds and animals?
